Judge Reticent to Use Warrants

While arrest warrants are once again coming out of the La Crosse municipal judge’s office, that doesn’t mean the judge is sold on the arrests as a way to collect municipal fines.  Judge Dennis Marcou says there’s plenty of ways to collect fines that don’t involve arrests and jail.  We ask the judge if he thinks cops write too many tickets to begin with

The city is owed about a million dollars in unpaid citations from the last two years alone.
