Judge Wants 2 More Weeks To Decide On Appeal Of Lepsch Murder Case

The judge needs more time to make a ruling…

La Crosse Judge Ramona Gonzalez is seeking a two-week extension to make a decision on whether Jeffrey Lepsch could get a new murder trial.  Gonzalez was supposed to reach a decision today on Lepsch’s claim that his trial was not fair.  The Dakota area man was found guilty of shooting Paul and A-J Petras during a 2012 robbery at May’s Photo in La Crosse.  Lepsch claims a few people who said they had made up their minds about the case were still allowed to sit on the jury.  The judge says Lepsch’s appeal is 40 pages long and contains eight specific reasons to have the case re-tried.
