Festing Still Comes With Damage in College Area

In the area of tipping cars over during Oktoberfest, La Crosse police appear to be making some progress.  Cops say they got just one report of a car tipped on its side this weekend in the predominantly college neighborhood.  Much better than the three that were flipped completely last year.  Lots of other reports of damage in that neighborhood: car windows smashed, bikes stolen, littering.  In one case, a woman linked out-of-hand festing with her mums getting stolen.  Police utilized extra enforcement in the area around UWL this year in an effort to head off any significant disturbances that have occurred there during Oktoberfest in recent years.
