Chase Ends With Arrest

A fight and police chase across county lines last night has landed an Eau Claire

man in jail this morning. And one person is in the hospital with head injuries. Onalaska cops say Ryan Meachem took off in a pick up truck after they responded to a fight he was apparently in. Instead of pulling over, cops say Meachem led them on a chase through the streets of Onalaska. The chase then went onto Highway 35 near Holmen, then into Trempealeau County. Meachem ran over tire deflation devices…..but his run didnt end until he got to Arcadia where the tires finally gave out. Meachem is in the La Crosse County Jail on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating after revocation, 2nd offense OWI and fleeing/eluding officers.
