Winona Man Killed By Train Identified As WSU Student

The man killed by a train in Winona on Wednesday morning has been identified as an area college student…

Police say 23-year-old Cody Wozney (WOES-nee) had been attending Winona State.  Train workers said a man standing along the tracks suddenly stepped onto the track and sat down, and the train could not be stopped in time to avoid hitting him.  Toxicology tests are still being performed, to find out what Wozney’s blood alcohol level was at the time he was struck.
