Winona Man Killed After Sitting On Track As Train Approaches

A pedestrian killed by a train in Winona this morning apparently wanted to be hit by the train…

Workers on the C-P train involved in the incident tell police that the man was standing along a track in Winona, and as the train came near, he sat on the track with his back to the train.  The man was 23 years old, and lived in Winona.  He was killed at about 3 o’clock this morning, near the 5th Street crossing.
