Economic Health Not Seen In Free Lunch Numbers

The great recession may be long over.  But it’s not for many families.  Evidence of that can be seen in the numbers of kids eligible for free and reduced lunch at school.  Up again in the last year across Wisconsin to 43%, according to a new report.  Higher in La Crosse schools, says food boss, Joni Ralph, with no sign of slowing down

Statewide, the kids getting free and reduced lunch has climbed by nearly fourteen percent in the last ten years.
