Rural Counties Near La Crosse Going Against Decline In Home Sales

A couple of counties near La Crosse are seeing a house-selling boom this year…

According to the state realtors association, Vernon and Jackson Counties have recorded increases in home sales and median prices, compared to declines in other area counties.  Jackson County sales for May were twice as high as in the same month a year ago, and prices are up 50 per cent.  For the year so far, La Crosse County leads the immediate area with a median home price of 142-thousand dollars.  Monroe County is not far behind, with a median of 126-thousand dollars.
