Water Well Tougher to Fix Than Expected

Things really haven’t gone as planned for a well maintenance project in downtown La Crosse.  Not even close.  A basic cleaning and pump rehab on the city’s water well on seventh street is weeks behind schedule and costs much more than it was supposed to because of a split well casing screen far below ground.  The cost differential is huge, says water utility manager, Mark Johnson

Johson hopes the project will be done and the well back online by the end of the month.
