The odds of making it through falling into a corn bin are not that great. But they were for an 80 year old Lewiston man who survived being pinned in a corn bin for three hours Thursday as rescuers tried to free him. John Dailey was pulled from a corn bin on the Dailey farm just after 2pm Thursday and he was conscious and talking. A rope was tied around Dailey’s waist to keep him from sinking into the corn. A hole was cut near the bottom of the bin in order to pump the corn out. Dailey is believed to have sustained non life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the Winona hospital by ambulance to be treated.
