Man Dies In Logging Accident

A weekend logging accident has claimed the life of a man from Monroe County.

Details are sketchy as to what happened but the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department was called just before 1pm Saturday to the Township of Lafayette. Deputies found that a 36 year man had died from being hit by a tree.

The accident is still under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The nam’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
