Five Drug Drop-Off Sites Ready In Lax County This Weekend
Members of La Crosse County’s Heroin Task Force will get some hands-on experience in battling drug abuse this weekend…
They’ve been asked to gather old medicine at drop-off sites on Saturday, as part of a nationwide drug collection campaign. Rita Von Haden from the Coulee Council on Addiction has been organizing the local drop-off. She says the drugs collected here will be sent to Eau Claire, at first, and then taken to a regional center for burning.
Local disposal sites will include the Viterbo Fine Arts Center, the Onalaska and Holmen police stations, and the CESA-4 offices in West Salem. Hours are from 10 to 2 on Saturday.
