Number Of Ron Kind Challengers Rises To 4

Two new challengers to Congressman Ron Kind are introducing themselves in western Wisconsin…

Chippewa Falls attorney Karen Mueller, originally from La Crosse, is launching a Republican campaign to defeat Democrat Kind. Just last week, farmer Tony Kurtz of Prairie du Chien launched his campaign in the 3rd District. Kurtz and Mueller would join Chris Anderson and Ken Van Doren in the Republican primary this summer. A GOP primary has not been needed in most 3rd District elections since Kind took office in 1996, because usually, just one Republican has decided to run against the Democrat.

 

 

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
