Woman Survives Getting Hit by City Bus

A 55 year-old woman has survived a near miss with a La Crosse MTU bus.  City police say the woman was crossing third street at the Grand River Station and was hit by a turning bus on Tuesday afternoon around 4.  Police say the woman appeared to have been crossing the street legally.  The bus driver apparently just didn’t see her.  The woman was taken to Gundersen and released on Tuesday night.  The bus driver was ticketed for the accident and was not identified by police.
