Mother Nature Killing Salt Supplies
Early predictions for snow Thursday……3-8 inches. That could equate into
the City of La Crosse using almost 300 tons of salt on the roadways. Public Works Director, Dale Hexom says he hopes this is the final snowstorm of the year.
Hexom says they have at least 500 tons in quick reserve but beyond that…some city streets could look like beaches with the amount of sand that would have to be mixed in with the remaining salt.
