Task Force Will Seek Ways to Save Library Branch

Time for downsizing of La Crosse’s library system?  The city’s library board last year recommended shutting down the south branch library amid funding shortfalls.  Now, a task force will best determine how to keep the south and north branches operating into the future and mayor Tim Kabat is hopeful

Kabat says figuring out how to fund the continuing operation of both smaller library branches should be a high priority for the city.
