Gundersen Moves Patients To New Building In Just One Day

They didn’t have very far to move physically…but the number of people who had to be moved made a new hospital opening in La Crosse a major operation.

Rooms inside the Legacy Building at Gundersen were filled with patients, as the transfer from the old hospital space took several hours on Sunday. In the command center at the new building, hospital administrator Jan DeHaan was overseeing the relocation of patients and equipment.  DeHaan says it took a year or two to figure out how the entire move could be performed in just one day.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
