Body Pulled From Car In Swift Creek

La Crosse Police have not released the name of a person found dead inside a car that went through the ice on Swift Creek.

 

The body was recovered after the car was removed from the water early Wednesday afternoon.  Relatives are being notified.  The car was in about 6 to 8 feet of water.  Police believe it went off the road at the west end of Jackson Street and rolled downhill onto the ice, sometime on Tuesday night or early Wednesday.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
