Latin Bug Still Around

The Latin American stomach bug outbreak, here since the summer, has sickened

631 people across the country and has puzzled health experts as to why it’s still here. The bug has also now made its way to Minnesota and Wisconsin. La Crosse County Health Department’s Jim Steinhoff says it may be linked to bad salad mixes found back in July.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning people to thoroughly wash their hands, their utensils and the fruits and vegetables they eat. The FDA recommends using hot, soapy water for 20 seconds before and after you handle food.
