A & W Bomb Scare Leads To Arrest Of La Crosse Man

A south La Crosse restaurant had a bomb scare this week, and a 46-year-old man faces possible prison time over the incident…

Police and firemen were called to the A-and-W on South Avenue Wednesday night, after a man walked in and claimed he had planted a bomb that would explode in 12 hours. No bomb was found. The man reportedly said he was a member of the Taliban, and said ‘death and hatred to all mankind.’ The same guy had made a 9-1-1 call that night, sending cops to a nearby Kwik Trip. Timothy Clinch was identified from security video at the Kwik Trip, and he was arrested later on 4th Street. Clinch has a history of arrests, including a recent one for making a false emergency report.
