Chicago Man In Jail For La Crosse Shooting

A 22 year old Chicago man has been charged in La Crosse County Circuit Court with attempted first degree intentional homicide with use of a dangerous weapon. This after 22 year old Cordero Short told a family member he shot a woman in La Crosse accidentally while trying to shoot another person.

24 year old Alyssa Bakke was shot in the back after leaving the Ye Old Style Inn back on June 16th. She told police she heard shots after she left the bar…….felt pain in her lower back……….hid in a bush and called 911.

Short told a family member he got into a fight with a man…..tried to shoot at him but hit the woman when she walked in front of his gun.
