Park Reconstruction Feedback Sought

Calling all park architects.  La Crosse’s park director Steve Carlyon is hoping that people who live around the newly renamed Poage Park will come up with plans for how to reconstruct the park that was known as Hood Park for decades.  During the Poage Powell Hamilton neighborhood association tonight, feedback from neighbors on what to do with the park is welcome.  Carlyon tells us he’s waiting for that input before coming up with any plans for the park.  Poage park was renamed by the city council this summer.  It’s named after George Poage, who grew up in La Crosse and was the first black American olympic medalist.
