Committee Approves Moratorium Exemption Applications
The La Crosse city council committee charged with evaluating applications for exemptions to the city’s rental conversion moratorium has yet to say no. The council agreed to waive the moratorium for all of the dozen that the committee evaluated at a meeting Tuesday night. Moved by applicants like Kevin Mack with a story about how denying the use of one rental property would have a nasty cumulative effect on his finances
The moratorium is two months old. It’s supposed to last for six.
