Where’s The Rain?
A lack of rain over the past several weeks has some farmers concerned with
the immaturity of their crops. A late, wet spring led to many not getting into the fields to plant. UW Extension’s Steve Huntzicker says while many farmers wait for rain, some in the area are actually enjoying what they are seeing in their fields.
Huntzicker says the next month will be crucial to farmers that are growing corn for seed. Not mature enough…..they will have to sell for silage.
