Sparta Seeks New PD Building

The City of Sparta is being asked to think about building a new police

department. We asked Police Chief Mike Kass, if they are listening.

The 60 year old building, next to a feed mill, is falling apart and has no more space. Kass says old jail cells are being sued for storage. He tells us he did approach Monroe County to see if their police department could be part of the new justice system project but they were turned down.
