Another Scam Attempt

Holmen Police are looking into yet another scam. Seems as

though someone from Holmen got a call from a female identifying herself as a Detective from a Law Enforcement agency in Texas. This Detective claimed to be investigating a fraudulent loan of some type and she claimed the Holmen resident was listed as a co-signer on the loan.

 

The woman went on to say that if the Holmen resident paid $400-$500 the investigation would be taken care of otherwise the police would show up at his home or workplace and embarass him with this investigation.

When a Holmen police called the number that had shown up on caller ID at the person’s house it was answered by someone with an accent who said the business was called BP Processing.

This is obviously a scam.
