New Truck Ready For Training
It’s like a new car in the garage. Except a lot bigger. The La Crosse fire department has just received its new ladder truck from the Pierce company in Appleton. Total price for the new truck is just shy of the nine hundred thousand dollar mark. The truck had to be modified a little to fit into the firehouse. In stock form, the truck is too tall to fit, so its been lowered a few inches. Firefighters begin training on the truck today and it should be in service in a couple of weeks. The new truck replaces one that was purchased in 1991.
