Minnesota Paint Program Gets Good Review

A new paint program for Minnesota is a good model for the rest of the U.S.  At least that’s how La Crosse county sustainability coordinator, Nick Nichols sees the state’s new paint stewardship program which has manufacturers and retailers paying for the disposal of used paint through a small, per paint can charge

Minnesota is one of only a handful of states in the nation with a similar paint recycling program.  Nichols agrees that the new program could mean paint costs go up slightly in the short term for the state.
