BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – May 20, 2013— B.A.S.S. will host the Diet Mountain Dew Mississippi River Rumble presented by Power-Pole, June 20 – 23, on the Mississippi River in La Crosse, Wis., the sixth of eight Bassmaster Elite Series professional bass fishing tournaments scheduled in 2013. One hundred of the top bass anglers in the world will compete for a $100,000 prize and coveted entry into the 2014 Bassmaster Classic to be held in Birmingham, Ala., with fishing on Lake Guntersville.

Thurs., June 20 – Fri., June 21
6:20 a.m.     The full field of anglers launch on the Mississippi River. Public launch viewing is available from Veterans Freedom Park.

3:15 p.m.     Official weigh-in takes place both days at Veterans Freedom Park.

Sat., June 22
6:20 a.m.    The Top 50 anglers launch for semi-finals of the Mississippi River Rumble.

12 p.m. – 6 p.m.    Bassmaster Elite Series Expo.

3:15 p.m.    Official semi-finals weigh-in begins at Veterans Freedom Park.

Sun., June 23
6:20 a.m.    The Top 12 anglers launch for the final day of Mississippi River Rumble competition.

12 p.m. – 6 p.m.    Bassmaster Elite Series Expo.

3:15 p.m.    Official final weigh-in for the 2013 Mississippi River Rumble winner starts at Veterans Freedom Park.

The Elite Series Expo will have B.A.S.S. sponsor representatives on site throughout the weekend with activities, games and prizes for attendees. Companies such as Mercury, Nitro, Skeeter, Triton and Yamaha will have booths at the Expo and will be offering demo rides. Toyota, Carhartt, Berkley, Minn Kota, Humminbird, Livingston Lures, Lowrance, Power-Pole, Shimano and Luck-E-Strike, also will have booths at the Expo.

Other festival activities planned throughout the Mississippi River Rumble weekend include a rock-climbing wall, bounce houses and angler autograph and photo sessions. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to learn tips and techniques from some of the best bass anglers in the world. The host organization for the event is the La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau will provide free shuttle services for Mississippi River Rumble. The continuous shuttles will transport spectators to and from the boat launch and weigh-in area at Veterans Freedom Park, the Days Inn Hotel on French Island, and Dublin Square in downtown La Crosse. Shuttle services will alleviate on-site traffic congestion and simplify public access to the facility, ensuring an enhanced experience for all who attend. Limited on-site parking will be available at a cost of $5.00 per vehicle per day.
