New $100 fee for reserved spots in La Crosse’s downtown ramps a bargain?

Members of parking utility board think so

A bargain is how members of La Crosse’s parking utility board describe $3-a-day, personal parking space.

To park in the downtown ramps, 24 hours a day, the new cost is $100 per month. It’ll cost $40 a month for a reserved space Monday-Friday.

The new rates will take effect in early October, when the city will start to remove existing signs for reserved spaces in the ramps.

Customers paying the monthly rates will be asked to use spaces above the first level of each ramp, which will be set aside for hourly parking.
