With election over, time for a break from politics

Enough about politics already. We just finished an election yesterday, and it is going to be a long road to November, so let’s take a break from talking politics today, and talk about some things I don’t understand. Like why all the pin pads at grocery store checkout lanes aren’t universal.  Can’t they all be the same? So that no matter where I’m shopping, I know what information to input and when. Similarly, when watching sports on television, the information they try to present on screen can be overwhelming. The score, who has possession, what quarter the game is in, how many fouls each team has and more information is all displayed on screen all at once. Sometimes my eyes don’t know where to look with all that information. Of course the games are carried on a variety of networks, and each has their own layout for presenting the game information. I would prefer a universal layout, so no matter what sport I was watching on which network, the information would be presented the same way. And I also can’t understand the way people drive on Highway 16. Where the posted speed limit is 45 between La Crosse Street and the mall, people more often go 55. But past the mall, where the speed limit is still 45, people often drive 35 mph. I they were in such a hurry before, why are they no longer in a hurry? I know none of this is all that important, but at least thinking about it is a break from thinking about politics.

“…lets take a break from talking politics today, and talk about things I don’t understand.”

You buffoon, maybe this would be a good time for a reset and try to commit yourself to old fashioned journalism…you know, where critical thinking results in tough questions asked of all participants instead of taking DNC talking points as a starting point for every discussion. Maybe then you would understand politics.

I will add my two cents about drivers. There are far too many running red lights. There are certain areas of the city where the police could write plenty of tickets for speeding and running red lights.
Red lights to many drivers are merely a suggestion.
