The district changed since new legislative maps were drawn to include some of La Crosse County.

Former La Crosse County Board chair Tara Johnson announced her candidacy a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Viroqua businessman Steve Campbell is also getting into the race.

The seat is currently held by Republican Loren Oldenburg.

None of this is news; it has all been reported previously weeks if not months ago.

This is outright partisan support by a public broadcaster of Democratic causes and candidates.

The La Crosse community deserves better media.

Tara is one of the most self-important people who has served on the board. A vote for Tara is a vote for her own financial interests and not for the residents of this district.
