Gov. Evers pitches in with “Pothole Patrol” during Onalaska visit
Wisconsin’s governor came to Onalaska on Wednesday to perform some road work.
Gov. Tony Evers helped street workers fill potholes on a residential street, as part of a statewide tour to promote his highway plans in the state budget.
“Since 2019, we’ve improved more than 58-hundred miles of roads, and nearly 16-hundred bridges in the state of Wisconsin,” Evers told an audience at the intersection of Lake Street and 8th Avenue, a few blocks north of Onalaska City Hall. “And I’m proud to help fix some of those myself, while on Pothole Patrol.”
Local crew members then smoothed out the hot mix with a steamroller. The governor had performed similar work earlier in the day in Chippewa Falls.
Besides touting the amount of roadwork done in Wisconsin each year, those officials also caution drivers to travel slowly in work zones and watch out for highway crews.

Did Evers get permission from the teachers union. I hope he didn’t get any on him. My be we could get the homeless to help
