UW-Richland students get incentive to transfer to La Crosse

Students from Richland county will be able to attend UW-La Crosse for the same tuition they would have paid at UW-Platteville Richland

The announcement came after UW-Platteville Richland announced the end of in-person classes starting this July.

The two-year campus has faced seven years of declining enrollment which led to the decsision to close the campus.

UWL chancellor Joe Gow said that they are eager to provide students from Richland County an opportunity to continue their education and they hope to make the transfer to UWL “as seamless as possible”

Sam is a student at UW-La Crosse studying media communication and political science. She has lived in La Crosse for 5 years and loves everything about the community. When she’s not at school or work, you can find her outside hiking the state parks or watching Netflix with her two cats.
