Jackie O’Brien chosen to head La Crosse County Republican Party, succeeding Bill Feehan

La Crosse County Republicans have chosen a new local chair. 

Jackie O’Brien was elected the La Crosse County Republican Party chair last weekend, succeeding Bill Feehan, who did not seek reelection so he could devote more time to leading the 3rd Congressional District GOP.  Feehan was chaose to serve on the La Crosse County GOP Party’s executive committee. 

Another new county officer chosen at a weekend caucus was vice-president Jordan Briskey, a local student who was active in developing a Vietnam War memorial at Veterans Freedom Park. 

Pam Rodgers will be the new county secretary for the party, and Larry Vangen was re-elected as treasurer.

La Crosse County will host the Republican State Convention in June at the La Crosse Center.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
