Klekamp to be offered contract as La Crosse County administrator
She doesn’t have the job yet, but she’s getting closer.
Jane Klekamp, the interim administrator for La Crosse County, had an hour-long closed-door interview with the county board Monday night.
Klekamp is the last remaining finalist to succeed Steve O’Malley as full-time as administrator.
As a contract is being drawn up, county board chair Monica Kruse said the executive committee must approve it, before the full board votes Jan. 19 on hiring Klekamp.
Klekamp was deputy administrator before getting the interim post when O’Malley retired in August.
