Starting in September, a new event from New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers, called Caffeinated Conversations for Hope, will educate attendees about the effect of violence on our community and how you can engage with the agency to help end abuse.

New Horizons is a frontline provider of safety and services to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in La Crosse and Trempealeau counties. Through the direct services provided by agency advocates and an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children, survivors are able to get back on their feet to rebuild their life free from danger and violence.

Each session will cover a topic related to the mission of New Horizons and share opportunities to continue growing understanding of the issue and solutions.

The first session will discuss the 2021 Wisconsin Homicide Report that is released by End Abuse Wisconsin every fall.
The second session will discuss the intersection between homelessness and domestic violence.

Bean Juice Coffee Roasters is generously providing a complimentary beverage to all attendees registered in advance.

Sessions will be held at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 23 and Nov. 18. Attendees can register online here.
