A busy COVID-19 testing site in La Crosse will continue operating for a few more weeks.

UW-La Crosse has received more financial and personnel support, so it can keep the surge testing site at Cartwright Center in business until early April.

The site was supposed to close permanently on January 22nd, but instead it will be shut down for next week and re-open on February 1st.

Thousands of rapid COVID tests have been conducted at Cartwright since November, delivering results in about 15 minutes.

More tests are now available, and staffing will be provided to continue the surge testing.
