La Crosse County’s one thousandth felony case of this year has been filed, against one of several alleged suspects in a robbery at an Onalaska parking lot.

The suspect in case 2020-CF-1000 is Amber Scott of Eitzen.  Scott and a La Crosse man, Aspen Kalina, appeared in court on Tuesday facing a number of serious charges, including robbery with use of force and battery.

Three other people reportedly may be charged as well.

Police believe the suspects attacked a woman in the Home Depot parking lot earlier this month, and stole cash and property from her car.

It may have been a revenge crime, with Scott believing the victim previously had stolen property from her.

This is the fourth straight year that La Crosse County has exceeded 1000 felony cases in court, although the number of felonies per year has gone down in the past two years.
