One driver on Rose Street allegedly hit two cars and a pole on Sunday night, before being arrested and trying to take an officer’s gun.
Kurt Reisner of Onalaska is accused of his sixth drunk driving offense.
A witness said the 45-year-old Reisner was driving an SUV very fast on Rose when he struck a light pole and a pickup.
Reisner was arrested after parking the SUV near Black River Beach and walking away.
After being taken to Mayo for a blood draw, Reisner told an officer he woke up on Christmas and felt like killing people, and then reached for the officer’s gun. He was handcuffed and taken to jail, and his bail is set at $1000 cash.
Reisner’s 5th OWI conviction was eight years ago.
