You don’t have to wait for the return of summer, to enjoy the next “Moon Tunes” concert in La Crosse.

The Rotary’s next Moon Tunes concert will be on Leap Day, February 29th, at Shenanigans on French Island.

Moon Tunes spokesman Terry Bauer says the bands TUGG and Slow No Wake will perform a benefit concert that Saturday night, raising money for the Riverfest Commodore Foundation, to provide medical help for young people in the area.

Tickets are $30 just for the concert, and $50 for a VIP dinner included.

Bauer of Moon Tunes says the consortium which has rebuilt the bandstand and paid for a natural wooden bandshell over it is ready to enter a new phase, and may take on the name “Friends of Riverside Park.”

That group will continue to promote improvements along the riverfront, including new restrooms for the park.
