West Salem shooting suspect now charged in federal court

An October shooting in West Salem has now led to federal charges against the shooting suspect.

A grand jury accuses Curtis Green of Onalaska of being a felon in possession of a pistol. 

Green already is charged in La Crosse County with reckless injury and endangering safety for shooting and wounding another person. 

The federal charge could lead to a maximum 10-year prison term.

Green is jailed in La Crosse, with a cash bond of $50,000.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
