For the second time in two weeks, law enforcement officers were called to robbery attempts in the City of Black River Falls.

In the most recent incident, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Holiday Gas Station on Water Street around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Two men entered the store and tried to steal money. Witnesses said they showed a handgun and a knife, and both suspects fled the scene on foot.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Black River Falls Police Department are conducting a joint investigation into these incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 715-284-5357.
