Aviation veteran picked as interim director at La Crosse Airport
The La Crosse Regional Airport is losing its director to the airport in Des Moines next month, but a long-time aviation worker is being brought to La Crosse as a temporary director.
The aviation board has approved Robert O’Brien as interim director.
O’Brien lives in southern Wisconsin, and has not worked at La Crosse before, but he has more than 30 years of experience in running airport operations.
O’Brien is scheduled to start in La Crosse in late April, a few days before outgoing airport director Clint Torp departs.
A search has begun for a permanent successor to Torp.
