While La Crosse council members are debating improvement plans for Gillette Street, another major east-west corridor in the city could get repairs soon.

The Wisconsin DOT reportedly is getting ready to fix La Crosse Street, within the next three years.

Mayor Tim Kabat and many citizens have complained about potholes and bad pavement on the street which runs past U-W-L and Myrick Park.

La Crosse Street is part of State Highway 16, and is heavily used by people traveling to the Valley View Mall area.
