Drive-by shooting on Copeland Ave. leads to 7.5 years in prison

A drive-by shooting between two cars has lead to more prison time for repeat offender Jeremy Rigelsky.
The 28-year-old will serve 7.5 more years in prison for reckless endangerment, added at the end of his current 4-year sentence for a home invasion on French Island.
A La Crosse prosecutor says Rigelsky has spent only brief periods outside prison since stabbing another student at Logan High School in 2005.
Rigelsky shot a guy in the thigh in another while driving on Copeland Avenue back in September of last year.
Police later received a tip where Rigelsky was spotted in La Crosse. He was arrested without incident and police found the loaded handgun under the passenger seat where he was sitting.
