La Crosse mayor sees too much left to do not to run

La Crosse’s mayor wants a second term.

Mayor Tim Kabat said Tuesday on air at the WIZM studio he’s planning on running for re-election in the spring, though, right now, the focus is on November elections.

“I’m looking forward to asking the voters for another term,” Kabat said. “I don’t think I’ve done that official, though I’ve mentioned it to a few folks.”

Kabat says he wants to continue what he sees as ongoing improvements in the city. He sees too much left to do to not run again.

“It’s the hardest job I’ve ever had, as mayor,” Kabat admitted. “But it’s also a good time because we’re seeing so (many) positive things happen, so much change growth and development and community coming together.”
