New full-time specialist at Boys and Girls Club

becomes first behavioral specialist

The Boys and Girls Club at the Mathy Center in La Crosse is adding a full-time behavior specialist.

It was announced today that LaQuita Becker, a Viterbo University and Caledonia High School graduate, has been hired for the position.

“Were serving over 600 kids a day at our six clubs,” said Mike Desmond, executive director of the boys and girls club in La Crosse. “We’re serving over 100 kids here at the Mathy Club. What we’re seeing is more and more kids in need of some extra help.”

The Ronald McDonald House, along with La Crosse County Human Services, will pay for the position for the first three years.
