weekend arrest. 33 year old Philip Smith was formally charged Monday after a standoff with Sparta Police Officers. Smith has been charged with intentionally pointing a firearm at another person and operating a firearm while intoxicated. According to Sparta Police Department release, officers responded to a call Friday that Smith was threatening to load his guns and kill people.
