Heroin Task Force Issues Report On Schedule
La Crosse County’s Heroin Task Force makes its report…
The study group had set a deadline of six months for making suggestions to deal with the local rise of heroin use. Members made that deadline this week by proposing ideas for reducing access to drugs, improving overdose interventions, and providing treatment for heroin users. County board chair Tara Johnson thanked the task force for making more people aware of the problem.
Committee members have volunteered to serve on smaller groups that will continue to monitor the goals of the task force.
